Peruvian Ascents is an International Mountain Guide service, based in Thousand Oaks, California, specializing in customized and scheduled group climbing, and trekking trips in Peru.

Our Services
Come and explore the Andes of Peru with us. Peruvian Ascents has custom trip planning available for a variety of adventures in Peru. Climb the big peaks of the Cordillera Blanca or trek through Peru's beautiful Quebradas. (Mountain ranges in Spanish) Trips can be arranged to see historical sites like Chavin, Wilcawain in Huaraz and Machu Pichu and the Sacred Valley in Cuzco.

Meet the Team
Julio Maguiña
Julio was born in Huaraz the Capital of the Peruvian mountaineering. He has been climbing since 1993. He is a certified member of the IFMGA( International Federation of Mountain Guide Associations). He speaks English, French and Spanish. He is an accomplished guide, and has lead successful trips to Nevado Cashan, Tocllaraju, Ranrapalca, Copa, Huascaran and Alpamayo several times. He also loves drawing topos of the buldering and sport climbing areas around Huaraz.
Lucho Garcia
Lucho Garcia, Was born in the heart of the Cordillera Blanca, Huaraz. “The Chamonix of the Andes”; He knows The Cordillera Blanca like the back of his hands. Lucho has guided mountain trips for several International Travel Agencies, since 1993. Lucho has guided successful trips to the Aconcagua, Huascaran, Tocllaraju, Alpamayo, Artesonraju, to list few. His passion for climbing has taken him places to climb like Yosemite, Tuolumne Meadows, Joshua Tree, Needles, Tahquitz, Red Rocks, Zion, the Sierras, Colorado, Wyoming, Kentucky and Europe. He is very regular in Stoney Point and Malibu Creek Park California, where he trains for his expeditions. He has a background in computer networking.
Joshep Guillen
Joshep Guillen El Chepi, He is vastly experienced,having guided climbing groups all over the Cordillera Blanca, including multiple climbs of Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Tocllaraju, Alpamayo, Artesonraju,Ranrapalca, Palcaraju. Chepi is a certified member of the mountain guide association (IFMGA)
